We get a lot of questions about the Stoke Foil Boost system. These are some of the most common ones. If you have a question that we have not answered here head over to our Help Centre or reach out and we can help you directly.
The whole Stoke Foil Boost weighs under 3.5kg.
Yes, the universal mast mount is designed to attach to all current foil masts.
Yes, the universal mast mount can be fitted or removed from any foil mast in less than one minute. If necessary, adjusting the receiver cable length and attaching the cable guides will only take another couple of minutes.
By mounting the drive unit at the top of the mast the unit is clear of the water when foiling.
The cable guides are designed to be small and hydrodynamic so you don’t need to remove them every time, however they are attached using non marking adhesive strips that can be easily removed by pulling the end horizontally.
The battery capacity, paired with the intelligent Battery Management System has been sized to provide over 50 launches whilst remaining sleek and light in its design.
Due to the physics of transmitting through water and local regulations of transmission power levels, a small receiver on the board is the best way to ensure consistent communication at critical times.
The recommended board size is above 110% of rider weight (1.1x rider weight) and the recommended foil surface area is above 15x rider weight. As you get more experienced, smaller boards and foils can be used although this will reduce battery usage duration.
Less than 2 hours for a full charge.
Yes, there are AU/NZ, US, and EU plugs available for the charger.
Almost all of them! The Stoke Foil Boost is suitable for Wing Foiling, SUP Foiling, Prone Foiling and Wind Foiling. We don’t recommend it for Kite Foiling.
At less than 10cm long and 4cm wide the controller can securely attach to a wide range of wings and paddles. It works perfectly on the handles of a wing, a SUP paddle and is also comfortable handheld when Prone foiling.
